Train Sim World 7 Editions

Train Sim World 7 sells four ways into the same simulator. Full launch is 15 September 2026. Deluxe and Ultimate editions open five days of early access from 10 September 2026. This page is the SKU sheet: official prices, which routes and locomotives sit in each box, and when it is smarter to claim Free Starter and shop later.

Dovetail lists the game as a single-player title on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. There is no shared cab, so you are buying routes and traction for one driver.

Steam, Epic, and Xbox advertise a 10 percent pre-order or loyalty discount on those list prices. PlayStation advertises 10 percent with PlayStation Plus. Dovetail’s FAQ quotes the discounted basket as about £40.99 / €44.99 / $44.99 for Standard, £58.49 / €71.99 / $71.99 for Deluxe, and £103.49 / €116.99 / $116.99 for Ultimate. Storefront tax and regional rounding can move the last digit, so treat the table as the official list and the FAQ as the advertised cut.

Only Deluxe and Ultimate include the five-day early window. Standard waits for 15 September 2026. Free Starter is a permanent Training Center client, not early access to the core routes.

Free Starter Edition

Claim Free Starter if you want the new menu, the Training Center, Simplified Controls, and the in-centre tools without paying. Free Roam and Livery Designer work on the Training Center. Once claimed, Dovetail says you keep that access.

After 15 September 2026 you can buy the three core routes and the Deluxe locomotives separately and assemble your own mix. That path is slower than a Standard or Deluxe basket, but it is the honest option if you only want Yorkshire, only want Florida, or only want ICE 4 on Nürnberg–Würzburg.

Free Starter is also the first download even when you buy a paid SKU. The how to download guide explains why an empty menu usually means the route add-ons have not finished.

Standard Edition: three core routes

Standard is the new Train Sim World 7 content pack. It includes everything in Free Starter plus:

• Airedale & Wharfedale with Northern Class 331, LNER Class 801, Class 66, and HYA limestone hoppers.
• Florida Tri-Rail, Miami Airport to Boca Raton, with Tri-Rail BL36PH, F40PH, Rotem cars, CSX SD40-2, GP38-2, and Dura-Max hoppers.
• Bahnstrecke Nürnberg to Würzburg with DB BR 440, BR 442, BR 401 ICE 1, and BR 193 Vectron.

Those three maps are the launch playground for Freight Hauler, Live Weather, and the new graphics stack. If you want the 2026 routes and nothing from last year’s Deluxe box, Standard is the SKU.

Deluxe Edition: three locomotives and early access

Deluxe includes Standard, then adds three layering locomotives and the 10 September 2026 early window:

• Northern Class 333 on Airedale and Wharfedale.
• DB BR 412 ICE 4 on Nürnberg–Würzburg, including 12-car and 13-car sets.
• Tri-Rail GP49H-3 on the Miami commuter route.

The £20 / €30 / $30 step from Standard is the usual value call if you want the hero traction and the extra five days. Read Deluxe locomotives for cab notes before you treat ICE 4 as a beginner first drive.

Deluxe does not add extra core routes. It adds traction that layers onto the three Standard maps.

Ultimate Edition: Deluxe plus selected TSW6 content

Ultimate includes Deluxe, then a bundle of selected Train Sim World 6 Deluxe routes and locomotives:

Dovetail describes Ultimate as the replacement for last year’s Special Edition: a catch-up pack if you skipped Train Sim World 6 and want that Deluxe set sitting next to the 2026 routes. It is not every older add-on in the catalogue. Check compatible content for the wider library, and the roadmap for new third-party routes that are not in any launch SKU.

If you already own those TSW6 Deluxe items on the same storefront, a bundle that contains something you own does not duplicate a giftable copy. In that case Deluxe plus your existing library is usually cheaper than Ultimate.

How to choose

Buy Free Starter if you are new, returning, or waiting to see one route in reviews. Buy Standard if the three 2026 maps are the point. Buy Deluxe if Class 333, ICE 4, GP49H-3, or the 10 September 2026 early window matter. Buy Ultimate only if you also want Riviera Line, Leipzig–Dresden, Morristown Line, and the extra locos in one basket.

After you pick a SKU, confirm the PC on system requirements, learn the beginner controls, and skim graphics settings if you play on PC. New drivers should still follow getting started and simplified controls before the first passenger stop. The launch page has platform clocks for early access and full launch.
